Shaping Elements | Redd Caruana
Relief artwork, a technique of a 3D artist but it is not necessarily concluded by knowing 3 dimensional elements, thus a Graphic Designer knows more about layout design & colour and apart from these there is something called Illustrations, that are seen in this magnificent art work. Elements that are established in this piece of art are mostly Graphic Design Principles such as : Alignment (composition) there is that continuos flow, it's like a stream starting from the top till it arrives near the village. Colour is Cool in temperature, as the subject is communicated aesthetically - Cold colours (mountains & Nature). Line is purely communicated, it completes the flow of movement. Texture is merged, the artwork is not flat (Influenced by the Japanese Style), but there is a sense of touch, touch can be communicative. |
Communication | is important. Magazine Cover
'Out There' - What's out there ? Visual Communication is simply amazing, gathering information about things & manipulating, creating them the way the designers way. The type is bold for a reason, a reason of attention the attention to what's out there. Can it be about the Pollution ? Can it be about Human Rights ? Can it be about an exhibition's name ? It can be anything but it is curious. Alignment is acting accordingly with one of the important elements in Graphic Design, alignment gives a sigh of composition, a structure it leads the person reading it. Type here is given importance to the word : 'OUT THERE' because it is something that has to do with 'THERE' an anonymous place it can be anywhere, but it is giving the opportunity to enquire into it. Space here is translated by composition, ground vs air space, obeying the rule of thirds. Information | Making sense, using Composition |
Perfect Composition, the way to translate alignment & suitable for the viewer to read. Composition is order, with no order there is no Law and in Graphic Design there is a Law named Composition & Alignment that it cannot be broken. Colour tone is purely simple leaving that off white modern tone with black or brown type that makes it rich, it's communication is alluring. 3D illustrations are applied in terms of vectors, the middle symbol is eye catching as it is in the centre of attraction, combined with a drop shadow. Space is balanced, giving space between one section and another, letting the composition breathe. |
