Detailed synopsis | Sharon Abela & Redd Caruana
By the end of our history of design journey stood still, although design never stops, all students must participate in a session of group work, presenting all the knowledge learnt by the semester, by researching primary and secondary sources. Me & my colleagues took some time off to go and research things that relate to Graphic Design, that of Design, Typography, Editorials, Prints, Business Cards etc.. all of which were primary sources. These had to be drawn, sketched or photographed, we had no restrictions or whatsoever. The most important of all was that we could communicate wisely and supportive to what each and everyone of us chose as an art movement.
Chosen movement - CONSTRUCTIVISM
Why did I focus on this particular movement ? First and foremost I did manage to contrast, compare also checking for similarities, between other movements. This was not that difficult to achieve but rather it was complex when it came to combining all elements with my colleagues. Took photographs that interested me, both architectural and that of design, as Constructivism has both.
On my behalf of the talk, i'll be talking mostly on the source of how constructivism evolved from the past till the present, how is it being used, how does it apply to graphic design, how does architecture influence modern designers ? All these questions will be clearly answered, using visual aids & good interpretation of photography, both primary & secondary.
At the end of my talk i'll be showing similarities concerning the other 20th C movements, such as : Bauhaus, Dada and if need be, in brief i'll mention the swiss design, typography and the design elements.

Bauhaus is merged with Constructivism
Talking about Constructivism, Bauhaus can merge together to construct something that has to do with the
element of Form follows function & that of Less is more. Although some may ask what does this has to do with the theme that i've chosen ? Well they both share the same thing in common, this is called the modern era & that of the same Century.
